Mission :

  • Reporting to the Scientific Director, you formulate and manage the company’s intellectual property strategy. As such, you:
    Develop and manage the patent portfolio, sensitize R & amp; D teams to inventions and know-how,
  • Carry out freedom to operate and prior art studies with external experts if necessary,
  • Manage the drafting of patents: support inventors to define the characteristics of the invention and guide it to support the strategy of
    the company, send the file to a CPI for drafting and filing,
  • Follow the budget for the current year and propose a provisional budget in accordance with the company’s strategy,
  • Keep a technological watch in the field of activity of the company to stay informed about patent applications as well as evolutions
    technological competitors,
  • Manage litigation: participate in the preparation of legal files for attack or defense, depending on the case, coordinate the litigation process with the
    lawyers.
  • Manage disputes: participate in the constitution of legal attack or defense files depending on the case, coordinate the course of the dispute with the
    lawyers.

Required profile :
With a minimum of 5 years of higher education, preferably a PhD, with more than 5 years in a commercial / industrial environment, you have acquired skills and experience in research and analysis of scientific information. You are familiar with the patent filing process, patent analysis, and FTO matters. You demonstrate skills in writing, analyzing and presenting results.
You are recognized for your sense of teamwork, your collaborative spirit, your autonomy, scientific rigor and sense of organization.
Fluency in English essential.

Fermentation expert M/F

Integrated within the Fermentation process development team of the Functional Protein Business Unit (BU), you will be in charge of defining and supervising fermentation tests at the pilot scale.

Mission :

To this end, you will be asked:

  • define USP process development strategies in collaboration with the USP team leader,
  • translate these strategies into a roadmap for carrying out USP tests at pilot scale and ensure their application and monitoring,
  • to define the specifications for the process development platform to carry out the USP tests on a pilot scale,
  • organize the schedule of USP pilot tests in interaction with the process development platform,
  • to supervise and monitor USP tests at the pilot scale, as well as the animation of the technical team made available,
  • to use the test data with a global approach in order to propose process improvement plans,
  • to deliver and communicate the data necessary for the transfer of the process to a higher scale (necessary for the drafting of the process book),
  • to provide technical support in the transfer of USP processes to higher scales,
  • to contribute to continuous improvement by setting up simplification / optimization processes and tools,
  • to participate in Quality and Safety procedures

Required profile :

Holder of a higher scientific diploma (PhD or Biotechnology training engineer) with at least 5 years of experience in the field of industrial fermentation, you master the techniques of implementing fermenters at both laboratory and scale pilot. You have experience in scaling up the fermentation process on an industrial scale.

You master :

  • continuous fermentation techniques
  • the constraints inherent in the scaling up of aerobic culture processes (gas / liquid transfer and heat transfer in particular),
  • numerical calculation tools,
  • written and oral technical English.

You have experience in team management.

Experience in process simulation would be a plus.

The position also requires: communication, interpersonal skills, reasoning skills, decision-making, initiative, creativity, planning and organization, strong buy-in and support for change.

Internship - Management Control M/F

Our business: the development, production and marketing of sustainable solutions and active ingredients from microalgae for nutrition, health and the environment. Nutritional lipids, alternative proteins, natural food colors and innovative environmental solutions make up our company’s present and future offering. At the beginning of July, Fermentalg and its long-standing partner Suez launched the CarbonWorks joint venture, which aims to develop and market solutions for capturing and bioconversion of CO2 by microalgal photosynthesis.

 

Mission :

To support the development of the company Fermentalg and its subsidiary CarbonWorks, we are looking for an intern in Management Control. Reporting to the Head of Financial Control, your main missions will be:

  • Participate in the development of the strategic plan of Fermentalg and its subsidiary CarbonWorks
  • Monitor CarbonWorks commitments and periodically update its cash flow forecasts
  • Create dedicated tools allowing CarbonWorks operational staff to make technology choices
  • Develop and improve monthly reporting for the various Fermentalg entities (financial and operational indicators)
  • Participate punctually in the monthly and semi-annual closings of Fermentalg and CarbonWorks
  • Participation in the budgetary process of Fermentalg and its subsidiary CarbonWorks

 

    Required profile :

    • You are currently preparing a bac +5 level diploma with a focus on management control / finance and mastering management and accounting rules.
    • You have good interpersonal skills as well as a spirit of analysis and rigor.
    • You are comfortable processing and analyzing data and have a good command of the office pack (Excel, Powerpoint),
    • You have an appetite for digital tools and information systems. Knowledge of an ERP (SAGE X3) is a plus.
    • You know how to show rigor, autonomy, and have a real sense of initiative and customer.
